Travellers and local people like his Moradabad-style moong dal a lot, apart from momos and chowmein. Many of them eat it and also pack it for their family.

Prashpal said that moong dal is as nutritious as it is tasty. He first ate this dal in Moradabad, which he liked very much. After this, he started making and selling this dal in Rishikesh commercially. His dal is different, that is why people like it a lot. He boils this dal in a pot many times and beats the dal well by adding delicious chutney and butter to it. After this, grated onion is added and dal is served to the customers, which is excellent in taste and people like it very much. Local people often say that we tried to cook it at our homes but couldn’t able to make it as delicious as yours, there is something magical in your hands.

The Price of Moradabadi-style Moong Dal and Our Experience to Taste it:

Taste of moong dal for just 40 rupees. Deepak Goswami and Shashank Ranjan, a resident associated with a two-wheeler rental business in Rishikesh, say that they have been eating moong dal here for about more than three years, at that time the price of this dal used to be 25 rupees. Even today the taste of this special Moradabadi moong dal remains the same as it was earlier. For your information, let us tell you that this stall is set up from 5 to 9:30 in the evening. If we talk about the price, then for rupees 40 you will get a bowl of dal with butter.
